Linguistics and Applied Linguistics Postgraduate Program for International Students (Master of Translation)

Objective:

This program aims to cultivate a group of senior bilingual talents with proficiency in Chinese and high-level translation skills, so that they have certain knowledge of diplomacy, humanities, economy and trade , and are competent for work in the field of Chinese and foreign language services. The talent ability structure highlights of this program are "Chinese language proficiency", "humanities foundation","economy and trade knowledge"and "translation skills".

Graduation Requirements:

1. Proficient Chinese and the HSK can reach the advanced level.

2. Have high Chinese cultural literacy.

3. Strong intercultural communication skills.

4. Strong Chinese-foreign translation skills.

5. Mastering certain knowledge of economics and management.

6. Having practical experience of Chinese-foreign translation in the international environment.

Program Features:

1. Combination between knowledge learning and practical learning

Knowledge learning:professional theories and skills in classroom, practical learning: classroom practice and extracurricular practice.

2. Professional tutors

Guidance will be provided for students' theoretical knowledge learning and thesis writing, etc., and to expand students' practical learning and enhance students' professional awareness and literacy.

The two-way selection method is adopted, which combines students' willingness and the tutors’ selection.The tutor arrangement will be determined after the agreement between the two sides and the approval of the college.

Scholarship:
